Catchup

Ok so I know my throngs of fans are getting restless because of my lack of updates.  I saved a couple pictures in super terrible quality.  I had a post with about 20 pictures, but I will narrow it down to 4 in hopes that it publishes.  I guess the only news to update on is that I am very very close to finishing my kanji mosaics for my teachers at school.  I'll put together a big post and lots of facebook pictures of all the mosaics sometime in November.  I'm not sure if I'll make a video though, after working on a video for a long time, I just am not able to make it not super boring.  That's a double negative.

One teacher is a fisherman and goes fishing at 4am every morning and he caught 3 fish this morning and he brought them into the teachers room for everyone to eat.  It was delicious sashimi.

Anki Day 2

Two straight days I broke the 1000 card mark, this might be the first time that has happened.  My teacher called in sick again today.  I hope his condition improves soon.  Today I studied nearly an hour longer than yesterday but studied fewer cards because I learned like 350 new kanji compounds so it was slow and I had to write them out a lot.  But I am gaining confidence in my ability to pass the 5th grade reading/writing test next Sunday.  Two days ago I felt very behind but now I'm confident I can pull a 70%.  We'll see, they are super strict on the writing sections and I don't have the nicest of handwriting so I might get a bunch of points off there even though I think I am writing out the kanji correctly.

Important parts: Studied 1107 cards in 6.54 hours.

Today I ate my first ever Akebia quinata. The flavor just so happened to be delicious.

Anki Day

My teacher called in sick today so I had an entire day of sitting here at my desk for exactly 12 hours.  The important part of the following picture is that I studies 1137 flash cards over 5.63 hours.  One of my better days ever.  I have a test next Sunday, gotta hit the anki hard for the next 5 days!





Also, one of the teachers has an apple tree at his house and he gave me about 8 giant delicious apples.  They are fantastic.

Hmm, just wrote up a review of the past week but it doesn't seem to want to publish.  However I can still see the post on my little list thingy.  I click the publish button and it thinks for like 5 minutes and then says something in Japanese that I can't understand.  Maybe it'll randomly pop up on the page soon.  There are like 15 pictures along with the post (I took pictures of lots of food) so I think that has something to do with it.  But regardless, rest assured that I am doing well, people are super nice, and I have eaten several bananas in the past week.
